Come and Learn an Artform of Jewellery Making. Catered for All ages and Skills. This is an age-old technique where we use a special type of Sand also known as Delft Clay. The idea is to create a replica of an object in metal by imprinting it into the sand and then pour molten metal into the shape that's left behind. (If I am losing you already in my explanation all will be explained during the class, so don’t panic!)

The class is broken into three parts:

~   Mould Making

~  Casting

~   Soldering/Polishing

If you can, please bring an item which you would like to cast. This item ideally is solid as you need to be able to push it into the sand without it breaking. My most successful pieces have been shells, seeds and nuts, but I leave this up to you. If you don’t have anything don’t worry my workshop is full of treasures to be cast.

Depending on Timing and Number of People Booked on the Course, you may be able to make more than one piece. The course includes the weight of 10g of Silver. Though if you want to make more than one piece or larger items this will be an added cost per gram at the end of the course.
